A course in first aid and injection methods

The Department of Internal Sections Affairs for Female Students organized a course on first aid in the female’s departments. Dr. Hoda Khasaf, a teacher from the College of Veterinary Medicine, lectured with it, and dealt with the procedures for administering injections, starting with how to read the name of the drug on the prescription and injection, determining the location of the injection into a vein or intramuscularly or under the skin, the appropriate dose and the meanings of the terms written on the drug.

The doctor emphasized the importance of adhering to infection control procedures and maintaining the sterilization of the syringe, the steps for intramuscular injection, its places, and the type of syringe appropriate for different ages.
