The University of Basra, in cooperation with the Gulf Studies Center, the Social Research Division, and the Civil Defense in the Qibla area, held an educational workshop for the employees of the University of Basra through Colonel Ahmed Subaih Qasim, in which he spoke about the importance of civil defense and the types of fires, including liquid, gaseous, and solid, and the methods of using fire extinguishers. Colonel Ahmed Subaih stressed the need to call the Civil Defense number 115 to reduce the extent of damage as quickly as possible. Colonel Ahmed Subaih also stressed the need for the presence of a wheel and civil defense cadres in universities to reduce the extent of losses.
