Student dormints at the University of Basrah

The University of Basrah provides university housing for students free of charge. The university owns 11 dormints complexes for students. Each complex includes a group of rooms, green courtyards, a shared kitchen, and study halls. Each room contains four to eight students, each of whom has a bed. The complex has potable water that has been prepared through... Establishing desalination plants for water or transporting it by tanks. Electrical energy and alternative energy are available through generators and all of this is free of charge. The complex also has furnished kitchens and bathrooms for washing clothes automatically. In addition, all student rooms are air-conditioned with the latest equipment, and the internal department administration is always committed to the university’s policy of providing comfort to students to make them focus on their academic studies.

In order to provide comfort, The Basrah University restaurant was established in the internal departments of Al-Karma and Bab Al-Zubair sites. It provides fresh food daily at very reasonable prices, with the value of one meal reaching 1,000 dinars (0.65$) to support students, while providing free meals to a section of needy students.

The pictures below show one of the university president’s visits and his inspection of the students’ internal sections, with the presence of officials to overcome difficulties, if any.
