As part of efforts to develop job performance and enhance the level of social and educational services provided to students, a workshop entitled "Preparing and Qualifying Social Researchers in Dormitories" was held. The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Iman Qasim Dawood, Head of the Social Research Division at the University Psychological Counseling Center, and attended by a number of male and female social researchers.
The workshop addressed the role and job responsibilities of the social researcher, mechanisms for dealing with students' social, psychological, and behavioral problems, as well as methods for studying, following up on, and documenting cases. It also focused on enhancing guidance and counseling skills and coordinating with dormitory administrations.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations, most notably the need to continue holding training courses, standardize work procedures, strengthen coordination and follow-up, and activate the preventive and awareness-raising role of the social researcher. This will contribute to providing a safe and stable university residential environment and supporting students psychologically and socially.
