In a new academic achievement to add to its impressive record, the University of Basra has qualified for the finals of the Times Higher Education Arab World Awards 2025, in the "Excellence in Teaching and Learning" category, outperforming more than 2,000 universities from the Arab world.

 

This award is one of the most prestigious educational awards in the Arab world. This qualification represents international recognition of the quality of the University of Basra's academic performance, its excellence in curriculum development, enhancing faculty competence, and employing best practices in the university education environment.

 

The final winners are scheduled to be announced at an official ceremony in Amman, Jordan, on November 25, 2025, in the presence of a select group of academics and decision-makers in the Arab and international higher education sector.
