The Department of Dormitory Affairs at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the University of Oil and Gas, held an awareness lecture entitled "Breast Cancer and Methods of Early Detection." This lecture was part of the department's health program aimed at promoting awareness and preventative measures among female students and staff.

The lecture, presented by a group of specialists in the medical field, covered the risks of the disease, the importance of self-examination and regular checkups for early detection, as well as discussing the contributing factors and the most prominent methods of prevention through adopting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The event witnessed a distinguished attendance and clear interaction from the students and supervisors, who emphasized the importance of such activities in spreading health awareness within the university community.
