This morning, Mr. Mohammed Emad Kadhim, Assistant Lecturer and Director of the Dormitory Affairs Department, conducted a field visit to several dormitories at the University of Basra. This visit was part of the department's ongoing monitoring efforts to assess the quality of services and performance within the administrative and technical units.
The purpose of the visit was to gain firsthand insight into the workflow within the dormitories, identify the students' actual needs, and pinpoint areas requiring immediate intervention or corrective action. The visit included inspections of buildings, halls, corridors, and outdoor areas, as well as monitoring routine maintenance and reviewing safety procedures implemented in the dormitories to ensure a safe and comprehensive environment for students.
During his visit, Mr. Kadhim listened to students' feedback and suggestions regarding the services provided. He instructed the administrative and technical staff to address these concerns seriously and work to overcome any obstacles students might encounter in their daily lives within the dormitories. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the maintenance, services, and supervisory units to ensure that their assigned tasks are carried out accurately and within the specified timeframes.
This tour comes as part of the Department of Internal Affairs' commitment to providing a suitable residential environment that ensures students' stability and safety, supports their academic progress, and contributes to achieving the institutional goals of the University of Basra.
