As part of the regular monitoring conducted by the Dormitory Affairs Department at the University of Basra, and in its commitment to ensuring the continuity of services provided to students according to the highest standards, the Director of the Dormitory Affairs Department, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Emad Kadhim, continued his field visits to inspect the infrastructure and service environment in the university's residential complexes.

This visit aimed to assess the condition of the buildings and service facilities firsthand, identify urgent needs requiring immediate intervention, and monitor the implementation of routine maintenance and ongoing renovation plans in several residential units. The visit included inspecting the water, electricity, and internal and external lighting systems, as well as reviewing the condition of rooms, corridors, public areas, and sanitary facilities to ensure their compliance with safety and urban planning requirements.

The director also affirmed that the department is committed to addressing all obstacles that may affect the quality of the residential environment. He directed supervisors and technical committees to intensify their efforts and promptly follow up on field observations, while adhering to a clear timeline for maintenance work that prioritizes actual needs.
