University of Basra Commemorates the Martyrdom of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her)

 

Students residing in dormitories at the University of Basra commemorated the martyrdom of Lady Zaynab al-Hawraa (peace be upon her), recalling her timeless example of patience, steadfastness, and defense of noble Islamic and humanitarian principles.

 

The occasion included a mourning ceremony featuring a religious lecture by Dr. Mansour al-Batat, a scholar specializing in Quranic sciences and interpretation. Dr. al-Batat discussed the noble life of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) and her pivotal role in reviving the legacy of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). Poems expressing the profound significance of this tragic event were also recited.

 

This initiative underscores the University of Basra's commitment to observing religious rituals and fostering moral and spiritual values ​​within the university environment.
