The Department of Internal Affairs is monitoring the performance of the housing committees in student complexes in the field.

The Dormitory Affairs Department conducts field visits to student housing committees.

As part of its commitment to improving student services and ensuring a smooth and organized housing process at the start of the new academic year, the Dormitory Affairs Department has begun conducting field visits to monitor the performance of housing committees in various student complexes. These visits aim to assess the current situation and ensure compliance with the instructions and procedures approved by the university administration.

This monitoring is being conducted under the direct supervision of the Director of the Dormitory Affairs Department, who emphasized during his visits the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of accuracy and discipline in implementing housing procedures. This ensures fairness and transparency in room allocation and provides a safe and comfortable living environment for students. He also stressed the importance of cooperation among all field and administrative committees to facilitate procedures for both new and returning students and address any issues they may encounter during the registration and housing period.

The field visits included inspecting the condition of residential buildings and the basic services provided within the complexes, as well as monitoring the administrative and organizational aspects of the committees' work and ensuring compliance with ministerial instructions and regulations governing the housing process. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of submitting daily reports on the progress and level of achievement to guarantee accurate monitoring and continuous performance improvement.

This activity is part of a comprehensive work plan prepared by the Department of Internal Affairs to oversee all aspects of university housing, aiming to provide an ideal living environment befitting the students of the University of Basra and supporting their academic journey, in line with the university president's directives to develop university services and prioritize students as the cornerstone of building the future.
